The Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes, in collaboration with the Valletta 2018 Foundation and the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA), is tomorrow organising a seminar entitled ‘Playful Learning in STEM – Promoting Game-based Learning in STEM Education’.
The aim of the seminar is to provide STEM educators with a theoretical and practical underpinning for the use of games in STEM education. The keynote speaker will be Lauri Järvilehto, a former educational consultant at Rovio Entertainment (the company related to the popular video game Angry Birds) and co-founder/chairman of Lightneer, a mobile-gaming start-up focusing on games for learning.
