Poldark season 4: Poldark actor Aidan Turner reveals SHOCK behind-the-scenes secret
POLDARK star Aidan Turner has seen his fair share of controversy due to his character Ross flaunting his abs throughout the show, but it has been revealed the lengths required to get the body for the show.
Poldark (played by Aidan) has spent the past four years enticing viewers into his elaborate story with his steamy scenes involving his abs.
Many of the scenes promoted for the show include Ross Poldark jaunting around a beach or a hay field topless.
Ross’ semi-nude scenes have even sparked controversies around whether viewers should be ogling Aidan.
And although he hasn’t been shy about talking about this controversy, Aidan has now spoken out about achieving his best body for the show.
Speaking to Female First he revealed his gym routine.
He said: “I'm always ticking away on that [exercise].”
Aidan also spoke about intermittent fasting, and how it helps his physique.
“Intermittent fasting is good for energy levels,” he explained.
“And those costumes are quite tight!"
It sounds like even though Ross looks comfortable in his own skin during the show, the costumes aren’t exactly fitting.

Also in his interview he touched upon the controversy that plagues the show.
He announced: “I am sick of it now.
“I’ve commented on it so many times. The more I talk, the more it snowballs."
In this weekends’ episode of Poldark viewers witnessed Dwight (Luke Norris) and Caroline (Gabriella Wilde) suffer a tragedy.
In the latest episode their child was born, who they named Sarah.

But when Caroline struggled to show any maternal instinct to her, another issue arose.
As the camera panned over the sleeping child, it became obvious something was wrong.
Later, the doctor picked up the infant after noticing something wrong with her breathing.
He then held Sarah up to the light to inspect her skin.
Are the family set for a tragedy in coming episodes?
Poldark continues Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
