
Bihar Board 10th Result 2018 Highlights: The result of Bihar Class 10 or matric examination has been declared by the Bihar Board of Secondary Education (BSEB). The students can access the result by visiting the official websites — biharboard.ac.in and biharboardonline.gov.in. The BSEB 10th result was initially scheduled to release on June 20, however it was postponed as some Class 10 papers were allegedly stolen from an exam centre in Bihar. This year, 17.70 lakh students had appeared for the Class 10 examinations that were held in March. Moreover, to felicitate Class 10 toppers, the Bihar Board has introduced a stipend of Rs 1,200.

The Bihar Board chairman also said that the students can apply for the scrutiny process from June 28. However, regarding the scrutiny process of the lost copies, the BSEB chairperson said, “The Bihar board will soon conduct a meeting to decide the scrutiny process of the lost 42,000 copies. The students have nothing to worry.”
Around 1,304 students who have got a compartment in the Class 10 examination can apply for the examination, the application process of which will start online from June 28. Talking to scribes BSEB chairperson Anand Kishore said, “The Class 10 compartment exams will be conducted in the month of July, and the results will come out in August.”

Around 3.17 lakh students who have appeared for the JAC 12th Arts examination this year will get their results tomorrow, June 27. Speaking to indianexpress.com, JAC chairman Arvind Pratap Singh said, "The result of Class 12 Arts examination will be declared on June 27 at 2 pm."
A total of 1.23 lakh boys and 65,779 girls have got first division while 3.67 lakh boys and 2.95 lakh girls have got the second division. The third division has been reveived by 1.75 lakh males and 1.81 lakh females. About 1304 students have got compartment.
This year, around 6,67,505 boys have cleared the examination successfully, while 5,44,112 girls passed the examination.
Out of around 17,58,757 students who have appeared for the examination, over 12 lakh students cleared the examination successfully.

All the students who cannot clear the examination successfully can appear for the Class 10 examination that will be conducted on the month of July. The results of compartment exams will be declared in the month of July. The students can apply for the compartment exams through the official websites from June 28.

In 2016, at least 426 students, were expelled after being caught cheating during the Intermediate Examination that started on Wednesday. The control room set up in Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) said a total of 426 students were expelled across the state on the first day of the examination. Maximum 49 students were expelled in Munger district, followed by 48 in Aurangabad for using unfair means in the examination, the control room said
Like previous years, this year too, fake callers were made to the students asking for money with the assurance of success in examinations. “If you receive such fake calls, you should not believe them and immediately lodge a complaint against the caller,” BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said recently.

In Class 10th, students have to obtain a total of at least 30 marks out of 100. In order to qualify, a student should get an aggregate of 150 marks. They should have passed in all subjects except English and optional subjects to be declared as passed. In social science, a student has to pass in theory and Internal assessment (literacy activity and project work) altogether obtaining at least 30 marks out of 100. The students can also get the results via the app. To get results, the students have to download a relevant app from google play store. The students have to pre-register their roll number in the app to get their results on time.

Five toppers of Class 12 will receive Rs 1,500 per month from the government depending on the duration of the course they are pursuing. For instance, a medical student will get the benefits for five years, engineer for four years and somebody pursuing non-professional courses will get scholarship for three years. Besides the scholarship, every year, BSEB gifts the top scorers of Class 12 all streams a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with a laptop and a kindle e-reader each. The second rank holder will get Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 each to the third topper.
The state government has decided to felicitate 10 toppers of Class 10 and 12. Matric toppers will get Rs 1,200 per month for two years to pursue higher secondary education. The students will have to score at least 60 per cent marks in Class 11 to be eligible for the scholarship in Class 12.
Principal secretary of education department RK Mahajan said while announcing the results that the lower success figures could be due to the strict measures adopted by the BSEB while conducting the exam and evaluating the answer sheets.Mahajan asked the unsuccessful students not to be disappointed and try take the exams again with more sincerity.

BSEB began asking 40 percent objective questions in science and commerce streams from 2015. After poor performance of students in 2017 Intermediate or class 12 board exams, BSEB had set up a committee to suggest new changes in the question paper pattern. Changes are also to be introduced in the copy evaluation rules. The details of new changes have been released by BSEB on its official website. Some of the new changes that BSEB has introduced from 2017-18 Intermediate exams are as follows:
a) In theory paper of each subject, objective questions or MCQs will now carry 50 percent marks.b) Number of 2-marks questions has been increased. In theory paper of 70 marks, fifteen 2-mark questions will be asked. you need to answer only 10 out of them.c) Every 5-marks question will have an alternative question. You can answer any one out of two. 3-marks questions will not be asked now.d) In language papers like Hindi, English, etc., questions carrying more than 5-marks will also be asked. e) Sent-up examinations will be conducted which must be cleared before appearing in the annual class 12 Bihar board exams.
