FIFA World Cup: Day thirteen, live scores, results, highlights

What a save! Sensational move from Rogic!

He dribbles through three Peruvians before drilling a low shot that is well saved by Pedro Gallese - lovely move but he had an unmarked teammate next to him, possibly should have laid the ball off.

France still dominating in the other game, but no goals yet.

Goal for Peru!!

Disaster for Australia - Peru lead against the run of play. A long ball over the top finds Paolo Guerrero who chips it to the back post and it's beautifully volleyed across Mat Ryan and into the bottom corner by Andre Carrillo.

Guerrero looked offside from the pass, but the first touch afterwards came off defender Trent Sainsbury and so there will be no VAR check, and the Socceroos have a mountain to climb now.

13 minutes gone, 0-0 in both games

Really bright start for Australia - Rogic has a shot blocked before the rebound comes out to Aziz Behich, but he is quickly shut down by Peruvian fullback Luis Advincula. The Socceroos are dominating possession and getting into good areas down the flanks - Kruse and Leckie moving very nicely.

In the other game, France go close with a shot from Olivier Giroud, which was probably only going to hit the woodwork anyway, being tipped out for a corner by Kasper Schmeichel.

Ten minutes gone, 0-0 in both games

Jedinak gets a booking which puts Australia level with Denmark on that fair play table, if it comes to that - he was late getting across after the Socceroos turned the ball over, and he catches Christian Cueva with a high foot.

France looking the brighter of the two teams in the other game but very little to show for it yet.

Six minutes gone, 0-0 in both games

Great ball into the box sees Juric get possession just inside the byline - he goes for the cutback but Kruse can't get on the end of it and the keeper eventually takes possession.

Denmark force a corner through Martin Braithwaite, but it comes to nothing.

Four minutes gone, 0-0 in both games

Leckie with some lovely work down the right before his deflected cross ends up in the path of Jedinak, who shoots over the top.

Nothing much happening in the other game yet.

And we're off!

Some pockets of gold around a mostly-Peruvian crowd. The whistle goes and we're off and running.

Again, Australia have to win and hope Denmark lose.

Teams in the tunnel now, Australia in their home kit

Mile Jedinak leads the boys out - the team have gone with the gold home kit.

While we'll mainly be watching Australia, we've got both screens up and running and will keep you updated (with hopefully a few French goals) in that other match.

We can trust France, but Socceroos should trust themselves too: Bert

It could be Australia's biggest World Cup nightmare - beat Peru and find that France and Denmark play out a tame draw to ensure that each nation qualifies for the knockout stage of the tournament at the Socceroos expense.

While its a possibility - a draw would give France seven points, Denmark five and leave Australia stranded on four even if they beat the South Americans - Socceroos boss Bert van Marwijk is confident that Didier Deschamps' team will go all out for the three points.

So what needs to happen?

The first and most important thing is the results: Australia must win, Denmark must lose.

Assuming both of these things happen, any two goal win by Australia will get us through. If Denmark lose by two, or lose 1-0, we go through.

If both games are decided by exactly one goal, it will come down to goals scored. So for example, if Australia wins 1-0 and Denmark lose 3-2, the Danes would advance.

If that is the same, it comes down to fair play points - the team with the best disciplinary record would advance. Denmark have currently had four yellow cards to Australia's three.

If that ends up the same as well, lots will be drawn. Let's hope it doesn't come to that - imagine if, after the full time whistle has gone with France beating Denmark 2-1 and Australia leading 1-0, Mat Ryan gets a 94th minute yellow for time-wasting? Yikes.
