Underweight model Jazz Eggers 'too fat' to book jobs

Jazz Egger has been fat-shamed at a model casting.
Jazz Egger says she was shamed for being "too fat to be a model" when she attending a model casting in New York city this week.
The Austrian model is 177cm tall and weighs just 50kg.
"That's underweight, and they told me I have to lose weight," she said in an emotional video she posted to YouTube.
"What does it do to someone's mind? There are so many people who break under that pressure."

Egger, 20, has made it her mission to expose the dark underbelly of the modelling industry.
She has written about losing a modelling job because she chided a videographer who asked if she wanted to see his penis, and about photographers who have demanded she undress in front of them.
She is known for recpationing her Instagram photos with the hashtag #truthbehindthisshot, letting her followers know the story behind the glamorous image.
Egger, who recently moved to New York from London, also posts unretouched photos to her Instagram with captions like this: "We no longer should be ashamed of natural things. Being real is cooler than photoshop."
At one time, she claimed, she was subsisting on 100 calories a day to conform to modelling industry standards.
"I feel so sorry for everyone who has issues loving their body because of what the fashion industry teaches us," she said. "Everyone deserves to have the ability to look into the mirror and feel good about what they see."
