Porsche issues stop-sale, recall for 715 Panameras for rear-axle anti-roll bar

Porsche Cars North America announced it is issuing a voluntary recall and stop sale for 715 affected vehicles in the U.S. and Puerto Rico for select 2017 and 2018 model year Panameras.

In a statement, Porsche said internal testing "showed that there is a possibility that connecting links for the rear-axle anti-roll bar were installed that do not meet Porsche quality standards." If a connecting link detaches from the anti-roll bar, the detached parts of the anti-roll bar could damage surrounding suspension parts.

No accidents or incidents have been reported due to the issue, the statement said. A Porsche spokesperson told Automotive News there are no further details at this time.

The automaker said Porsche dealers will replace the connecting links for the anti-roll bar on the rear axle. Customers will be notified about the recall by mail.
