GURURGRAM: A Lieutenant Colonel of the Indian Army filed a complaint with the Gurugram police against a transport company for allegedly cheating him on the pretext of transporting his car to Bangalore in a truck.
An FIR was registered at Sector 5 police station under section 420 (cheating) against Sonu Bharadwaj, the owner of the transport company.

Around two ago Lt Col Jagdish Kapasehda, a resident of Ashok Vihar, hired a transporter to deliver his Volkswagen Vento to Bangalore. According to the complaint, he paid a sum of Rs 12,300 for the car to be transported in a truck.

But instead of transporting the car in a truck, the transporter engaged a driver who drove the car all the way to Bangalore.

But before the delivery of the car at the given address, the vehicle met with an accident in which a person was killed. Following the accident, car was seized by police and cops summoned the owner of the car.

Kapasehda found out about the accident when the Bangalore police informed him a few days ago.

“The transporter had signed a power of attorney agreement of the car for a week. Complainant submitted all the documents and bills in the local court and got back his car back,” said a police officer from Sector 5 police station.

He said a case has been registered against the owner of the transport company and they are hoping to make arrest in the case.
