DSK fraud case: Kulkarni’s son surrenders before Pune police

Shirish Kulkarni, son of the main accused in the Rs 2043 crore bank loan scam DS Kulkarni, surrendered before the Pune police on Monday, a week after the Supreme Court rejected his application seeking extension of his anticipatory bail.   Soon after his surrender, Shirish was placed under arrest and produced before a Pune court which remanded in police custody till July 2.

Jr Kulkarni, who is an executive director at DS Kulkarni Developers Ltd (DSKDL) and a director in other partnership firms run by his father, has been charged with divesting loans taken from Bank of Maharashtra and received from depositors for other purposes.
