Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the officials concerned to ensure the upcoming police command and control centre is effectively utilised for monitoring not only the law and order situation, but also serves as an effective centre for disaster management, management of festivals and fairs and other events.
The command and control centre, the first of its kind facility in the country being built with international standards, should become role model in providing complete safety to the people by making use of the latest technological know-how, he said.
The Chief Minister conducted a surprise visit to the facility coming up at Banjara Hills on seven-acre land. The centre would have buildings with 20 floors with built up area of five lakh square feet.
According to an official release, Mr. Rao expressed his satisfaction at the progress of the work which was moving on fast track as planned.
He wanted the centre to be made operational by completing work as early as possible. Home Minister Naini Narashimha Reddy, R&B Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy, Government Advisor Anurag Sharma, Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi, DGP Mahender Reddy and others accompanied the Chief Minister.
