OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An economist at the Oklahoma City branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City says oil and gas production is increasing, but with fewer employees. OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma's open governor's seat and whether to allow medical marijuana top the ballot in the state's upcoming primary election. Election officials hope the top-billed races will drive turnout among Oklahoma's more than 2 million registered voters. Polls are open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Only registered Republicans can vote in the GOP primary. Independents can also vote in the state's Democratic primary. All registered voters can cast a ballot on State Question 788, the marijuana measure.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma City jury has decided on a life prison term for a 67-year-old man convicted of fatally shooting one of his drug runners more than 35 years ago. Raul Sierra was convicted of first-degree murder for the November 1982 slaying of 23-year-old Wilfredo Roberto Matos Osorio.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Storms moving through Oklahoma and Arkansas brought high winds that downed trees and power lines, in addition to damaging some structures. National Weather Service meteorologists say they had several reports of 60 to 70 mph (97 to 113 kph) winds as the storms moved across Oklahoma on Friday evening and into Arkansas early Saturday morning. Meteorologist Randy Bowers says winds as high as 77 mph (123 kph) were recorded in Logan County, which is located north of Oklahoma City.
