KATHMANDU: The Department of Foreign Employment has scrapped the licence of 197 manpower agencies.

These firms include those that were dysfunctional since long or those overcharging workers under various pretexts. “We revoked the licence of such manpower agencies as they were not complying with government laws,” informed Uttam Bhakta Rijal, information officer at DoFE.

The licences of A One Overseas, Aakash Overseas Company Sewa, Aashish Overseas, Alliance Overseas, Atlantic Overseas Services, Blue Heaven International, Dana Overseas and Destination Overseas Consultant, among others, were revoked.
