THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A three-year-old child was hit and killed by a speeding train in Kasaragod district in Kerala. Bilal, son of Siddique and Aisha, residents of Koppalam, died as he tried to cross the railway track.

Bilal's brother Ismail (5), who was seriously injured, is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

The Coimbatore - Mangalore Intercity Express train hit the children around 12.30pm on Sunday when the kids crossed the railway track in search of their mother Aisha, whose ancestral home is on the other side of the railway track.
