Kerala Congress MPs stage protest

Kerala Congress MPs on Monday staged a protest in New Delhi demanding Kanjikode Rail Coach Factory.

Confusion prevails over the setting up of the long- awaited ₹55 crore rail coach factory in Palakkad with the latest Union Budget not allocating any amount for the project.

Though the previous budgets had nominal allocations for the project, the latest one lacked even a passive mention about it. This comes at a time when plans are afoot to shift it from Kanjikode to Sonepat in Haryana.
