A 74-year-old Erin woman has been charged with failing to properly secure a toddler after she put her granddaughter in the trunk of her car.

Wellington County OPP received a tip Friday that a woman attending an event on Main Street in the town of Erin, northwest of Guelph, had placed a toddler in the truck of her car before driving away.
