What is it?
England's third and final Group G match of the 2018 World Cup in Russia - and by far and away their most difficult so far. But having swiftly progressed to the last 16, the Three Lions will not be fearing any team.
Gareth Southgate's men will hope to have got their campaign off to a winning start in their opening two matches, against Tunisia and Panama, meaning qualification for the next round will be assured and the only thing to be decided is who finishes top - England or Belgium.
When is it?
Thursday, June 28, 2018.
What time is kick-off?
7pm BST.
What TV channel is it on?
This match is on ITV 1, with coverage starting at 6.15pm.
As with every World Cup 2018 match, Telegraph Sport will be bringing you live coverage throughout.
Where is it?
Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad.
What are the latest group standings and permutations?
A win for either side will see them top the group. A draw will see both teams finish with the same goal difference and goals scored, thus it boils down to fair play statistics. England, with one fewer yellow card, top that as it stands. If both teams are level on cards, it comes down to drawing lots.
What is the latest team news?
England
Dele Alli was part of a small section of the England World Cup squad to train after a thigh problem saw him miss Sunday's record win over Panama.
The Three Lions racked up their largest victory in the history of tournament football as Alli's Tottenham team-mate Harry Kane hit a hat-trick in a 6-1 win.
The result means England are already through to the last 16 ahead of what is essentially a play-off against Belgium on Thursday for who will progress as winners of Group G.
None of the players who started in Nizhny Novgorod took part in Monday's training session back at their training base in Zelenogorsk.
Alli was part of proceedings alongside those squad members who did not feature against Panama, although the players who came off the bench - Jamie Vardy, Fabian Delph and Danny Rose - were present.
Manager Gareth Southgate led the session alongside assist Steve Holland.
It remains to be seen if Southgate will make a number of changes to his side for the game against Belgium in Kaliningrad or if he will stick to the strongest XI possible.
Belgium
Roberto Martinez has hinted he will rest United's Romelu Lukaku and perhaps even Chelsea play-maker Eden Hazard, as they are both carrying minor injuries.
He also has three players with yellow cards - Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, Thomas Meunier and Vertonghen. A second yellow would see them miss the first knockout game.
Southgate will have similar thoughts, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Kyle Walker are a caution away from a one-game ban, and Dele Alli could be ready to play again after missing the Panama match.
What do we know about the Belgium team?
Belgium have all the ingredients for success at the World Cup.
Romelu Lukaku leads the attack, supported by the creative genius of Eden Hazard and with Kevin De Bruyne pulling the strings in midfield. Thibaut Courtois is in goal.
But for all the exceptional talent, Belgium keep underwhelming at major tournaments, only reaching the quarter-finals at the 2014 World Cup and 2016 European Championship.
There are doubts throughout the team. Center-back Vincent Kompany spends much of his time in the treatment room at Manchester City. Too many Belgian players have morphed into glorified benchwarmers these days after falling out of favor, including Toby Alderweireld at Tottenham, Thomas Meunier at Paris Saint-Germain and Thomas Vermaelen at Barcelona.
Axel Witsel and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco do have a lock on their starting position for their clubs, but in the modest Chinese league.
It all makes the road to World Cup success seem far from clear for Fifa's third-ranked team.
What are they saying?
Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois on facing England in Russia:
"I don't want to go back to England in July with a losing feeling. I want to win - I think everyone feels that way," said Courtois.
Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen agrees, saying: "It's going to be a special game - special because I know a lot of the players.
"It's going to be interesting to see the guys on such a stage. My team-mates (at Spurs) are my friends so it's going to be very funny."
What are the odds?
- England to win 7/4
- Draw 2/1
- Belgium to win 6/4
What's our prediction?
Belgium's current crop have been dubbed the "Golden Generation", with the likes of Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Thibaut Courtois among their ranks. Plenty of Roberto Martinez's team ply their trade in the Premier League too, and that experience could prove crucial. But England are in fine form - would you bet against them in their current mood?
Predicted score: England 2 Belgium 1.
