Nadal reclaims top spot in ATP rankings, Federer slips

Spain's returned to the top spot in the men's Association of Professionals (ATP) world singles rankings released on Monday while Switzerland's came in second.

After he won the title over Serbia's Novak Djokovic, Croatia's climbed to the fifth spot, ahead of Bulgaria's and Austria's respectively.

Further down the rankings, Djokovic jumped five places to the 17th despite his Sunday's 5-7, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 loss to Cilic.

The current ATP rankings and point scores are as follows:

2. (Switzerland) 8,720

3. (Germany) 5,755

4. (Argentina) 5,080

5. (Croatia) 5,060

6. (Bulgaria) 4,780

7. (Austria) 3,835
