UK fires break out LIVE: Huge fires rage in Yorkshire and Birmingham in Britain heatwave

FIREFIGHTERS are battling a raging blaze in the Yorkshire moors which has been sparked by scorching temperatures gripping Britain.

The fire is at Saddleworth Moor - an area which saw another fire last night which was extinguished shortly after.

According to the Huddersfield Examiner, the grass caught light again this morning due to strong winds and high temperatures.

Smoke can be seen for miles away.

Firefighters are said to have been hindered by the remoteness of the blaze and have had to battle the fire for most of the day.
