GAUSHALA: A 13-year-old girl of Aurahi Municipality in Mahottari district has been raped on Sunday evening.

Police Inspector at Gaushala-based Area Police Office, Bhola Bhatta, said that two local youths — Rakesh Sada and Ritik Sada, both 15 years of age — allegedly raped the girl when she had gone to wash utensils at a nearby rivulet.

Police have arrested Ritik while Rakesh has been absconding after the incident.

Meanwhile, necessary investigation into the case is underway, said police.
