Melania Trump is back to her trademark style in first appearance since jacket controversy
MELANIA TRUMP came back from a jacket scandal as she stepped out today in a shirt, pencil skirt and heels outfit to make a speech. The First Lady made her first appearance since she wore a controversial jacket emblazoned with the words “I really don’t care, do u?” to visit an immigrant detention centre for children.
Melania Trump, 48, put the jacket scandal behind her today to make a speech in Virginia.
The First Lady, who is married to Donald Trump, 72, addressed the national conference of Students Against Destructive Decisions.
Last week, Melania wore a jacket which had the words “I really don’t care, do u?” on the back, which she received criticism for.
She was visiting a Texas centre for the children of immigrants detained at the US-Mexico border.
Today, she put her best fashion foot forward in a much less inflammatory shirt and pencil skirt get up.

The longline dark blue pencil skirt fell past the First Lady’s knees and flattered her willowy frae.
It had a sky blue pattern at the side which added to its slimming, elongating effect.
A thick black belt wore around Melania’s middle cinched in her waist and created hourglass proportions.
She wore an oversized boyfriend style white shirt which balanced out the form-fitting bottom half of her outfit.
The shirt was styled in a casual way, with the first two buttons undone and the collar turned up.

It was tucked into the waistband of the skirt to create a sleek silhouette.
Finally, Melania wore a pair of nude stiletto heels on her feet which lengthened her calves.
The First Lady looked unfazed despite the controversy surrounding her in the past week.
She smiled broadly during the address, occasionally waving to audience members.
Her honey coloured hair fell about her shoulders in blow-dried waves.

Last weekend, Melania received fresh criticism for her jacket choice.
In her most recent Instagram post, Melania said she was “touched” by the visit she had made to the Texas based shelter for the children of immigrant families separated at the US-Mexico border.
She posted a video of her visiting the shelter and meeting children and people who worked there.
She wrote in the caption: “Visiting w children at the shelter in #Texas yesterday was very touching.
However, the controversial khaki jacket was noticeably absent from the footage, although Melania was focused wearing it on the same day before removing it.
Her Instagram followers were quick to call her out. One wrote: “One wrote: “Did you see the jacket she was wearing? That she doesn’t care about the kids and the immigrant families!”
