21-year-old dead in motorcycle crash in Lambton County

A 21-year-old Sarnia-area man is dead following a weekend motorcycle crash where he was found without vital signs in a ditch.

OPP say the driver was found in a ditch — the bike left the roadway and struck a hydro pole

A 21-year-old Sarnia-area man is dead following a weekend motorcycle crash in Warwick, Ont., just east of Sarnia.

OPP say Wesley Ferguson was found in a ditch with his motorcycle around 9 a.m. Sunday without vital signs. The accident happened in the area of Egremont Road near Digby Street.

Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police say their preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was travelling eastbound on Egremont Road when it "failed to negotiate a bend in the roadway." They believe the bike then drove off the road, entered the ditch and hit a hydro pole. 

A post-mortem is scheduled for Monday.
