2 arrested with banned capsules

LUDHIANA: Government railway police have arrested two men with 760 capsules of banned substance (spasmo proxivon plus) from Ludhiana railway station on Friday evening.

The accused were identified as Sant Kumar of Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, Ram Fere of Bahraich of Uttar Pradesh. They had come to deliver the consignment to one of their clients in the old city area.

GRP official Palwinder Singh said acting on a tip-off, the CIA wing of GRP conducted specials checks in the evening hours on Friday.

A case Sections 22, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act has been registered against the duo.
