A 17-year-old girl was allegedly molested by an auto driver at Nehru Nagar here. The police have arrested the auto driver as well as her boyfriend.
According to sources, the Class X girl had reportedly befriended a boy and they were allegedly warned by their parents when they came to know about it.
On Thursday, the girl and the boy allegedly decided to run away. The girl’s parents, who were alerted by the locals, traced her to Nehru Nagar. An auto driver, who promised to bring the girl back to her parents, allegedly molested her inside an abandoned house at Nehru Nagar.
The police who received a complaint from the girl’s parents registered cases under POCSO Act against the accused.
