England vs Panama, Live Score, FIFA World Cup 2018: Harry Kane And England On Fire Against Panama

The last time five goals were scored in one half at a World Cup was in 2014 in the semi-final between Brazil and Germany at Belo Horizonte. Before that this has been achieved only thrice, twice in 1974 and once in 1954.

Interestingly, Panama fans at the stadium are singing that they will beat England 6-5 by the end of 90 minutes. Very optimistic and that would also make it some game!

Half time: England lead Panama 5-0 at the break! The 1966 champions are on an absolute roll! 

This is the first time England have scored five goals in a World Cup fixture, let alone scoring five in one half itself! Southgate will be extremely happy! 

GOAL: Harry Kane has scored again! He scores from the penalty spot yet again and in the same fashion to take his tally of goals at the World Cup to four! England are on a roll! 

Another penalty conceded by Panama for a foul on Harry Kane while the corner was being delivered. Kane almost had his shirt taken off him! 

This is some hammering the Panama side is taking and it will do their confidence no good. England though are having the time of their lives in this game. Five minutes to go for half time. 

GOAL: That's a fourth goal for England as John Stones heads home from close range after Raheem Sterling was denied initially! This is the first time England have scored 4 in a World Cup match since the 1966 World Cup final. 

Panama look to respond almost immediately as Barcenas tries to get it into the bottom corner. The ball in caused some concern in the English defense but Pickford watches it roll out. 

GOAL: Now Jess Lingard joins the party with a superb curling effort from outside the penalty area! Panama players look shell shocked! 

England doing well to keep possession and make Panama work their way back into the game if at all there is any. 35 minutes in and the Three Lions looking comfortable with a pass accuracy of close to 90 percent so far. 

STAT: Harry Kane is now only the second player to score in each of England’s opening two matches at a World Cup. Only Ron Flowers (v Hungary and Argentina in 1962) has done this before. Kane also becomes the first English player to score three goals at a World Cup since Gary Lineker (4) and David Platt (3) during 1990.

Sterling sets off down the right in search of the ball from Trippier but Penedo is alert and snuffs out the danger. Panama finding it hard to deal with the pace of Lingard and Sterling. 

Panama holding onto possession for a while against the English defense. Barcenas and Rodriguez are seeing a lot of the ball. Rodriguez had a chance to deliver a great ball into the box after Perez found him on the left. The ball in was poor and England can rebuild. Panama have not panicked, which is good to see. 

25 minutes gone in this game and England's early goals have taken the stuffing out of the Panama team. While England will likely look for more goals, Panama will want to save themselves from being routed.

Jesse Lingard has made some good incisive runs in behind the Panama defense and that is giving them a lot of trouble. The Manchester United man is pacy and that helped win the penalty too. 

That is England captain Harry Kane's third goal at the World Cup and England's fourth. None though have come from open play as yet. Three corners and one penalty getting the goals for the  Three Lions. 

GOAL: England captain Harry Kane converts the penalty with ease, hammers it in to the top corner and England lead 2-0 within 25 minutes. 

It is going from bad to worse for Panama. Captain Torres and Escobar double team Jesse Lingard and concede a penalty! 

Edgar Barcenas looking to test Pickford as he looked to curl it in with his left foot. Pickford had to stretch and will be thankful that the shot was off target. Panama looking to attack more than they did against Belgium. The first day nerves are definitely gone and they are out to give England a game. 

Henderson looks to find Harry Kane and send him through but the ball just goes away from Kane and the Penedo comes out to retrieve the situation. 

Panama have responded well after going a goal down early on. Barcenas and Rodriguez down both wings are not shy off putting a ball into the box for their forward men. 

GOAL: England make the early breakthrough once again. John Stones unmarked in the box heads home powerfully from the Trippier corner. England are off to a flyer!

Five minutes in and the game has been pretty scrappy to start with. Panama have had the best chance early on to take the lead or at least give England a good old wake up call but failed to make that count.
