Burglars target 3 houses in 24 hrs

Vadodara: Burglars targeted three houses in three different areas in 24 hours since Saturday.
Hemant Vankar, a resident of Ajwa Road registered a complaint at Bapod police station on Sunday, informing that someone entered his house at Vithhal Nagar late on Saturday night by breaking the lock of the main door. Vankar, who was sleeping on the terrace, saw the broken lock when he came down on Sunday morning. Burglars had fled with cash, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 1.35 lakh.

Another complaint of burglary was registered at J P Road police station by Asif Ali Saiyad, a resident of Tandalja. Some burglars entered his house in Gulmohar Bungalows by yanking out the window grill and fled with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 50,000 cash.

Mohan Vajirani, who lives on Jetalpur Road, also lost cash, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 2.52 lakh. to burglars. Vajirani told the Gotri police that burglars entered his home in Nalanda Apartments by breaking open the main door.

Though police have intensified patrolling in the night, burglars continue to have a free run many times.
