Man hacks elder brother to death over property dispute

 A youth murdered his elder brother over a property dispute at Garikapadu village under Bollapalli mandal in Guntur district on Saturday.

GUNTUR: A youth murdered his elder brother over a property dispute at Garikapadu village under Bollapalli mandal in Guntur district on Saturday.According to Bondlamotu SI M Vijay Charan, Dontha Punna Rao attacked his elder brother Dontha Gopal (38) with axe who died while being shifted to hospital.
Their father Dontha Venkataiah was blessed with three children and distributed house-sites to them. But Gopal sold away his property due as he was given to vices and started residing at his father’s house in Garikapadu village.

His father Punna Rao agreed to give one cent of site to his elder son Gopal and after he started asking to register it in his, his younger brother Punna Rao opposed it. The brothers had a dispute over the site for some time and an altercation took place between them on Friday night. Punna Rao attacked his elder brother Gopal with axe in an inebriated condition. The police registered a case and started investigation. The body was shifted to Vinukonda Area Hospital for post-mortem examination.
