Lorde has donated $5000 to help Starship Children's Hospital provide portable neurology monitors to parents.
Pop sensation Lorde has donated $5000 to a children's hospital appeal in an effort to help kids who have seizures.
The appeal was promoted by Auckland burger joint Burger Burger on its Instagram on Saturday.
The post featured a picture of "burger baby Miss Olympia", who suffered a major brain injury just before she was born.
She now spent a lot of time at Starship Children's Hospital, the post said.
"[It is] a hospital filled with beautiful humans trying to make New Zealand's children better each and every day."
The post said Burger Burger wanted to raise enough money over the weekend to buy five portable neurology monitors for the hospital.
The monitors are lent to parents whose children suffer from seizures.
"If 1000 of us donate just $5 we would be able to help them secure this much-needed equipment," the post said.
Lorde replied shortly afterward, saying "glad I clicked on this cute little bebe".
She had put through a donation for $5000, she said.
"Love Starship and your yummy burgers."
This is not the first time Lorde has pitched in to help out Kiwi kids.
She previously made a $20,000 donation to Fuel the Need, an Upper Hutt charity that provides lunch for school children who otherwise would not be fed.
