He promises action on demands of industry

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Saturday said they were planning to extend single window clearance to the entertainment industry after encouraging response in manufacturing and other sectors.

Speaking at a press conference held in connection with the the audio launch of Tamil actor Karthi-starrer Chinababu, he said, “I appeal to the film directors and producers to come and shoot in Visakhapatnam as it is blessed with nature's beauty. As per the government procedures, I will conduct meetings in the coming days with the local authorities and set up a single window clearance system to ensure hassle free procedure.”

The Minister also promised to look into the fee charged for the clearances and consider the demands by the entertainment industry to lower it.

For Surya, it is a homely feeling

Reciprocating to this, Tamil star Surya, who in association with Miryala Ravinder Reddy is presenting the film said Visakhapatnam resembled his native place and he would love to keep coming here for shooting his films.

“Shooting in Visakhapatnam has always been a pleasant experience," he said.

Surya said he liked Rangasthalam and Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu a lot.

Chinababu revolves around a village and farming. The hero essays the role of a farmer.
