SRINAGAR: Security forces on Sunday killed two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in an encounter in Kulgam district of south Kashmir, police said.

Director General of J&K Police (DGP) SP Vaid tweeted saying that a third armed terrorist surrendered to the forces.



The encounter began today afternoon in the Cheddar Qaimoh area of Kulgam district as Jammu and Kashmir police, along with the CRPF and the Army, were carrying out operations to clear a national highway ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, beginning June 28, a senior police official said.
