Captains go quietly at Bowling Green

Todd Isaacs doubled, drove in a run and stole a base, but the Captains had a rough afternoon in an 8-3 loss at Bowling Green.

Lake County (30-44) went 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position and left nine runners on base.

Isaacs’ steal was his 16th of the season.

Jesse Berardi singled, walked, scored a run and had an RBI for the Captains. Gregori Vasquez (2-4) took the loss, striking out seven but allowing five runs, four earned, in four innings.
