AHMEDABAD: A woman, 37, resident of Vejalpur has alleged that one Mansukh Vadodaria alias Sanjay Patel of Bopal sexually exploited her by raping her several times because she failed to pay interest on a loan of Rs 6.20 lakh she had taken from him to run her husband's snack shop.
According to the complaint lodged by the woman, who is also has an 18-year-old girl, Patel deals in
Bitcoin investment and had made her receive cash from an angadia firm in her name for money obtained from Bitcoins.
Senior police sources said they are verifying the details given by the woman in the
FIR. "Meanwhile we are also searching for the accused to interrogate him," said a senior police official of Anandnagar police station.
According to the complaint, the woman and her husband run a snack shop in a complex located in
Satellite area. "While supplying snacks and tea to different offices the woman met Patel. She took a loan of Rs 6.20 lakh from him at a
monthly interest of 2% and condition for repayment of the principal in two months," said a police source.
Police said the woman claims in her FIR that though she paid interest regularly, after two months, Patel demanded a monthly interest of 10%, which she refused to pay.
"Patel then allegedly told her that she would have to make a compromise and sleep with him if she has no money to repay the loan. The woman denied and barged out his office," said a senior police official. The woman has alleged, that a few days later Patel knocked at her doors and in the absence of her husband raped her. "The woman has alleged that Patel then raped her three more times. At last, when she told her husband what was happening, together they approached police and lodged the FIR," said a senior police official.
