The BJP has alleged that JMM working president Hemant Soren has allowed C-SAT in JPSC examination held in September 2013, this would have resulted in a huge loss to the ST and local students of the State and would have been beneficial for the students coming from outside. It was opposed but Hemant government allowed the examination pattern.

State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that after the Raghubar Das government was formed in 2014 State legislators had raised the issue in the House. “The government took it seriously and that time Hemant Soren had said in the House that the officers had ditched him and made to do wrong. This statement is officially recorded in the Assembly proceedings. This is ridiculous that officers can keep the CM in dark and make some work done,” he said.

“Then looking at the situation the CM had announced in the House that tribal and local youths’ interest is paramount. The government will do whatever it takes to protect their interests. Therefore, on September 16, 2015 C-SAT was set aside and earlier system was reinstated, which was hailed by the tribal and local students of the State,’ added Shahdeo.

The government also took a decision to include nine regional and tribal languages in JPSC and SSC examinations. These languages include Santhali, Mundari, Ho, Khariya, Kudukh, Kurmali, Khortha, Nagpuri and Panchpargania.

Shahdeo said that those who claim to be the well-wishers of tribals had included anti-tribal C-SAT in the JPSC examination. “Our government set the decision aside and fulfilled the demand of tribal and local students,” he added.

Also, Shahdeo said that the government removed the minimum marks clause for interviews, which was demanded by the tribal and local students since long. This is directly benefiting the local students and those hailing from far flung areas, he said, alleging that the JMM has been fooling the tribals and locals since long and directly doing harm to them.
