BJP pulled out of govt in J&K as it failed on both security & development fronts: Amit Shah

BJP President Amit Shah Saturday reviewed the party’s preparations and strategy for the Lok Sabha elections due next year during his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after the party withdrew support from the PDP-led government.

The top leadership of the party’s state unit briefed the BJP President about the political situation after the imposition of the governor’s rule.

On the BJP’s pulling out of the coalition government with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir, Mr Shah said, the PDP led government was a failure both at security and developmental fronts coupled with discrimination with Jammu and Ladhakh regions.

Condemning the recent alleged anti-national remarks of Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Saif-ud-din Soz on prevailing situation in Kashmir, the BJP President demanded that the Congress should apologize for the irresponsible statements.

Addressing the rally, MoS in PMO and BJP MP from Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted various developmental initiatives taken in the State by the Centre during last four years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government.

Amit Shah said that our security forces are capable enough to give a befitting reply to the inimical forces both at the borders and in the hinterland in Jammu and Kashmir and that a record number of terrorists have been neutralized across the Kashmir Valley during last four years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government in the centre.

On the BJPs pulling out of the coalition government with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir on 19th of this Month, Shah said that the PDP led coalition was a failure both at security and developmental fronts coupled with discrimination with Jammu and Ladhakh regions.

Mr Shah impressed upon the Governor N.N.Vohra led Jammu and Kashmir government to execute the central developmental projects and initiatives across the state within the scheduled time.

Later addressing a public rally in Jammu, Mr Shah said, Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and the BJP will never allow it to be disintegrated from the country. The rally was organised to

commemorate the martyrdom day of Jan Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mookerjee. Mr Shah said, Shyama Prasad Mookerjee laid down his life to integrate Jammu and Kashmir with the country along with Praja Parishad’s movement.

The BJP president reached Jammu this morning on a two day visit to the state.
