MK Stalin, DMK workers held as they attempt to lay siege Raj Bhavan

Police sources said 192 DMK party workers were arrested yesterday at Namakkal when they tried to show black flags to Governor Banwarilal Purohit for interfering with state's affairs.

CHENNAI: DMK Working President M K Stalin along with party workers were arrested here on Saturday when they attempted to lay siege the Raj Bhavan demanding the immediate release of the 192 party workers, who were arrested at Namakkal on Friday.

Police sources said 192 DMK party workers were arrested yesterday at Namakkal when they tried to show black flags to Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit for interfering with the affairs of the state government.

DMK leaders J Anbazhagan, Sekarbabu, Ranganathan, former Union Minister A Raja, M Subramanian and Vagai Chandrasekar were also arrested.
