Kathmandu, June 22

The health condition of Ganga Maya Adhikari of Phujel, Gorkha, who has been staging a fast-unto-death at Bir Hospital demanding action against those guilty of her son Krishna Prasad’s murder, is deteriorating.

According to Advocate Pushpa Raj Paudel, Ganga Maya has been on hunger strike for the past 25 days. She has even refused to take medicines and saline water. Paudel said doctors at Bir hospital were planning to shift her to ICU as her health condition was decorating day by day. Her hands and legs have swollen making it difficult for doctors to administer her saline water.

The Supreme Court on December 21, 2016, had ordered the authorities to arrest Chhabilal Paudel, the main accused in the murder of Krishna Prasad.
