Two people were shot at the Heritage Inn in Daytona Beach on Friday night, according to a news release from the Daytona Beach Police Department.
A man and woman were shot at about 9:20 p.m. during an argument at the motel, 1100 S. Ridgewood Ave.
The injuries were not life-threatening and both were taken to Halifax Health Medical Center.
The male who was shot was arguing with another male outside Room 26 of the motel. That other male, the shooter, pulled out a shotgun and shot at the man.
The woman, girlfriend of the man who was shot, was also hit by the gunfire.
Police are charging the shooter with aggravated battery with a firearm.
The male who was shot faces possible charges, though the news release did not explain why. The case remains under investigation.
