One person has died following a crash in the Auckland suburb of Albany.

One person has died following a crash in the Auckland suburb of Albany.

One person has died following a crash involving a truck and a motorcycle on the Coatesville-Riverhead Highway in Albany, Auckland.

The person riding the motorcycle died in Auckland Hospital following the crash and the serious crash unit will now investigate the incident.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the intersection of O'Brien Rd at 2.25pm on Saturday.  

The road was closed for a while, but has since reopened.
