Serbia lead Switzerland 1-0 at halftime after early Mitrovic goal

KALININGRAD, Russia (Reuters) - Serbia led Switzerland 1-0 in World Cup Group E on Friday as a headed goal after five minutes by striker Aleksandar Mitrovic gave them a dream start in Kaliningrad.

Dusan Tadic floated a cross over from the right for Mitrovic to rise and head it firmly past Switzerland goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

Switzerland tried urgently to get back into a game played at a blistering pace but Serbia surged forward time after time, with Mitrovic leading the charge.
