The two town police took into custody a minor from Kotagally on the charge of molestation of a minor girl and sent him to an observation home after producing him in the court.
According to Circle Inspector of Police A. Subashchandra Bose, the boy, aged about 17 years, on April 25 entered the house of a 15-year- old girl neighbour when she was alone and got close to her. Taking advantage, he took her pictures and a video shot. After that, he kept ringing her every day.
Suspecting something amiss, the girl’s father summoned him to his house and checked his mobile phone, but found it locked. Finding the boy’s phone password protected, the girl’s father threatened the boy to give him access to the content. Later, he lodged a complaint with the police who registered a case. under Section 448 and 376 of IPC and also POCS Act, said the CI of Police.
