Captains stave off Bowling Green, 10-7

The Captains scored eight runs in the third then nearly saw their lead evaporate in a 10-7 victory at Bowling Green.

In the third, Nolan Jones belted a two-run home run, his ninth round-tripper of the season, after a Tyler Friis walk. Jesse Berardi later had a two-run single to bring in Will Benson and Jose Medina and scored himself on a Friis sacrifice fly.

Riley Echols got the final three outs for his first save. Juan Hillman (1-8) got his first win of the year, striking out four and yielding one run on two hits in 5 1/3 innings.
