TDP will win 2019 elections with thumping majority: Kalava

Minister for Information and Public Relations and Housing Kalava Srinivasulu on Saturday said BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana was among the close confidantes of the former Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who had dragged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to court in 2003 on corruption charges but failed to prove them.

Mr. Lakshminarayana should remember that the Supreme Court had dismissed the cases as baseless and politically motivated. Aspersions were also cast on the Heritage Group, but the allegations could not be proved.

Therefore, Mr. Lakshminarayana and others targeting Mr. Naidu should not use the court as platform to wreak political vengeance, he said while addressing the media here.

Like the BJP leader, JSP president Pawan Kalyan and YRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy were being used to make baseless allegations, and they would sooner or later realise the futility of taking a constant dig at the Chief Minister, Mr. Srinivasulu said.

Mr. Srinivasulu accused the BJP leader of being a partner in Rajasekhara Reddy’s shady deals. The TDP was poised to win the 2019 elections with a thumping majority, and with 25 MP seats in its kitty, Mr. Naidu would call the shots in deciding who should be the PM, he said.
