John and Katherine Stahl of 803 Evergreen Dr., Dover, OH will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house on July 1 from 12-2 p.m. in the Grace Lutheran Outreach Center at 216 N. Wooster Ave., Dover. It is requested that gifts be omitted. Hosts for the event will be their sons, Ron and Jim Stahl and their families. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren complete the family. The former Katherine Medved of Dellroy and John were married June 28, 1958 in Calvary Methodist church at Sherrodsville by Rev. Robert Irwin. Katherine is the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Medved of Dellroy. John is the son of the late Walter and Della Stahl of Sherrodsville. Katherine retired from Dover City Schools in 1999 and John retired from Manchester Tool Co. in 2000 and finally from Clapp and Haney in 2016. John was previously employed at Warner & Swasey. He also served our country for four years in the US Navy. The couple are members of Grace Lutheran Church in Dover. The couple are planning a fall trip to California and the National Parks in Sept. to celebrate their Diamond Anniversary.Paragraph body
