Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal is visiting flood-affected Barak Valley today. He will review the flood situation and hold meetings with officials in Karimganj and Hailakandi districts.

State Government has already instructed authorities to take all steps in conducting relief operations. However, situation is improving in the area with water level of rivers receding in the valley. Schools have reopened and almost all suspended services have been resumed.
