Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Bobbala Mahender Reddy, brother of tainted and suspended ASI B. Mohan Reddy, and remanded him to judicial custody after producing him before the ACB court in Karimnagar on Friday.
The ACB officials said that they registered a case against Mahender Reddy, brother of the tainted ASI, who was arrested in property disproportionate to his income case in April 2017.
The suspended ASI registered land documents pertaining to his victims Dadi Kanakaiah and Velpula Odelu in his brother’s name, who is his benami, and has no source of income. Mahender Reddy is native of Ramachandrapur village of Koheda mandal.
The ACB had earlier arrested Mohan Reddy’s wife, B. Latha, as the suspended cop had registered properties worth crores of rupees in her name too. Latha is a housewife.
Mohan Reddy’s brother-in-law, Ittereddy Sripal Reddy, was also arrested, and is lodged in Warangal jail.
