Jammu and Kashmir officers posted in personal sections asked to go back to parent departments

The officers belonging to the head of the department cadre were directed to report back to their parent departments with immediate effect.

SRINAGAR: The Governor's administration in Jammu and Kashmir today ordered repatriation of all officers posted in personal sections of ministers in the previous PDP-BJP coalition government to their parent departments.

According to the order issued by General Administration Department, 26 officers belonging to the J&K Secretariat (gazetted services) were directed to report to GAD while three each were asked to report in Rural Development and Finance Departments.

The officers belonging to the head of the department cadre were directed to report back to their parent departments with immediate effect.

The services of the persons, who were engaged by the GAD on contract to work in the personal sections of the former ministers, have been terminated with effect from June 19 -- the day the Mehbooba Mufti-led government fell after the BJP pulled out of it.

These employees will be paid salaries till 19 June, according to the order.
