ROURKELA: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram on Thursday said Odisha is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the new mining policy as it received around `40,056 crore from auction of 13 coal blocks and `31,762 crore from five iron ore and other mining blocks. Attending a meeting of senior citizens and intellectuals here as part of ‘Sampark For Samarthan’ campaign to highlight the achievements of the NDA Government in the last four years, Oram said so far the District Mineral Foundations in mineral-bearing districts have received about `4,300 crore,  including his Lok Sabha constituency Sundargarh’s share of `1,100 crore. The Minister said after the implementation of GST, Odisha Government has received `2,262 crore as compensation till March this year. Under the new national steel policy, the NDA Government envisages to produce 100 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) steel in Odisha.
