The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday raided the properties belonging to Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) line inspector S. Lakshmi Reddy in Kavali Rural limits on charge of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known source of income.
The ACB officials seized property documents worth ₹1.18 crore.
The documents revealed that the line inspector owns a G+1 bungalow and two open sites in Kavali town registered in the names of him and his family members. Besides this, he has four other houses at Jaladanki in Kavali rural limits and at Valluru in Prakasam district.
ACB DSP Parameswara Reddy, who led the raids, said that Lakshmi Reddy was also found to own 45 acre of agricultural land at Bitragunta, Jaladanki and Vinjamuru villages.
Lakshmi Reddy joined the service in 1993 as a helper in the electricity department before he got promoted as assistant lineman and lineman. He is working as line inspector at Mungamuru village in Kavali rural limits.
Simultaneous raids were conducted at Lakshmi Reddy’s residence and houses of two of his friends in Kavali, his father’s house at Jaladanki and his brother-in-law’s house at Valluru.
