An Oklahoma school board member and funeral home owner is accused of crossing the Red River to sell cocaine to an undercover officer, allegedly displaying plastic bags of marijuana in the process.

Patrick James Dudley, 46, of Waurika, Oklahoma, has been charged with manufacture or delivery of cocaine weighing more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams – a first-degree felony.

He is also accused of possession of marijuana weighing more than 4 ounces but less than 5 pounds – a state jail felony – and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Dudley was out of the Wichita County Jail Friday morning on $106,000 total bail. He also had a federal hold in connection with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

According to the probable cause affidavits:

An undercover officer with the Waurika Police Department arranged with Dudley to buy about 4 ounces of cocaine for $3,200 on June 7.

The officer drove to a parking lot in the 3900 block of Kell Boulevard and, around 12:35 p.m. that day, Dudley arrived in a pickup.

Once the truck arrived, the officer got inside and talked to Dudley for a while.

Out of a black backpack, Dudley pulled several clear bags containing a green leafy substance appearing to be marijuana.

The undercover officer and Dudley talked about the alleged marijuana briefly.

Dudley then took out a bag of white powder and weighed it on a scale. The officer handed over a large amount of 20 dollar bills.

Officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department’s SWAT team came and took Dudley out of the pickup.

He had about 4 ounces of white powder. A field test resulted in a positive alert for the presence of cocaine.

In addition, a field test of the green leafy substance revealed the presence of marijuana.

Following his arrest, Dudley’s Facebook page was dotted with messages of support.

“Prayers for you and America, I DO NOT JUDGE, I am not GOD. Love you both!!” a poster wrote.

Dudley is listed as a member of the Waurika Public Schools Board on the school's website at www.waurikaschools.org.

He is also a member of the Jefferson County Hospital Board, according to the hospital website at www.jeffersoncountyhospital.net.

He and his wife, America, co-own and operate Dudley Funeral Homes of South Central Oklahoma with locations in Waurika and Ryan, Okla., according to www.dudleyfuneralhomes.com.

In addition, Dudley owns Dudley Ranch and Backhoe Services and attended Midwestern State University, according to his Facebook page.
