Liverpool transfer news: Jurgen Klopp backed to complete Xherdan Shaqiri deal
LIVERPOOL transfer target Xherdan Shaqiri would be a great addition to Jurgen Klopp’s side, Chris Kamara claims.
The Reds have been tipped to sign the Stoke star this summer after pulling the plug on a deal for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir.
Shaqiri, 26, is said to be available for just £12m due to a relegation clause in his current Stoke contract.
And Kamara says Liverpool should sign the Switzerland international, claiming Klopp would find a way to make it work.
“Shaqiri is a brilliant player, absolutely fantastic,” Kamara told the Daily Star.
“If Stoke manage to keep him in the Championship then that would be a miracle because he’s top class.

“He would perform in a Liverpool team, that’s for sure.
“There is always room [in the team] for top-class players.
“You play so many games throughout the season and someone like Shaqiri would earn his stripes in terms of performances.”
Liverpool have already completed two signings this summer, with Monaco midfielder Fabinho and RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita heading to Anfield.
Klopp is keen to spend big this summer to mount a Premier League title charge next season.
