BENGALURU:A realtor shot his wife dead with a revolver and escaped with their three children in Jayanagar 4th Block on Thursday night.A domestic dispute is suspected to be the reason for the murder.
The deceased was identified as Sahana (42), a housewife.

Police said the incident came to light when a neighbour went to meet the realtor Ganesh around 9.45 pm on Thursday. The neighbour was shocked to see Sahana lying dead and immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the spot. She had died of bullet injury, police said.

“The initial investigation has established that one bullet was fired at her and she sustained injuries in the chest. Questioning of neighbours and relatives has revealed that the couple had frequent quarrels and some neighbours had heard them quarrelling even on Thursday. It is suspected that the fight led to the murder later in the evening,” police said, adding that they were verifying whether Ganesh had a valid firearm licence. Forensic experts and dog squad were deployed at the crime scene.

It is learnt that the couple have two biological children and had adopted another child just a few months ago. Jayanagar police have registered a case and have launched a manhunt for Ganesh.
