HSC, CHSE certificates on Digilocker soon

The State Government will soon provide digital copies of certificates of the High School Certificate (HSC) and Council of higher Secondary Education (CHSE) examinations on Digilocker.

BHUBANESWAR:The State Government will soon provide digital copies of certificates of the High School Certificate (HSC) and Council of higher Secondary Education (CHSE) examinations on Digilocker.  

School and Mass Education Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said that the department has already initiated process in this regard. “We have informed the Centre for Modernising Government Initiative (CMGI) functioning under General Administration department to take steps in this regard and float tenders. Once it is finalised, the certificates will be made available on Digilocker,” he said.

An official in the CMGI said the Government may float tender or approach National Informatics Centre (NIC) for this purpose. But an NIC official said they are yet to receive any communication from the Government in this regard. “However, NIC may place its proposal to the Government on the project, if it receives any such communication,” the official said.

He said availability of certificates on Digilocker will help students access those document anytime.
The Digilock account of students are linked to their phone number and Aadhaar and enables them to have access after creation of a verified account, the official said.

Notably, the The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made the digital copy of mark sheets and certificates of Class X and XII examination on Digilocker at https://digilocker.gov.in.
